Somehow things work much better when the code actually reaches the vblank interrupt handler ;-) Still can't get to ingame though... The game hangs after selecting the course. My initial blame is on the dreaded network thingy.

Jet Wave

Jet Wave / Wave Shark

Something new from Guru. Continues Konami's classic mix-and-match hardware design. The CPU board is from ZR107 (Midnight Run, Winding Heat), while the graphics board is the same as GTI Club...

The game isn't playble yet, it gets stuck on the copyright screen.

And some screenshots...

The game dropped quite nicely into the Hornet driver.

Checking for pulse...

The world of Azeroth still has me, but some things are able to drag me back.

The progress goes on and on

The Konami ZR107 driver was the last PowerPC/SHARC driver not working at all. After a big driver overhaul, Midnight Run and Winding Heat are now playable with varying degrees of graphics problems.

Silent Scope

Silent Scope is also starting to work. Not exactly surprising, given the recent developments ;-)

The tale of two Voodoos

I fixed some multi-processor issues in the SHARC core, and some Voodoo-related issues in the NWK-TR/Hang Pilot graphics board emulation. As a result, Hang Pilot sprung to life in its whole 3D glory. There seems to be some texture problems still to be fixed though.

Update: The texture problems were caused by bad ROM loading. Also, changed the screen layout to similar to a real machine. Updated the screenshots with these changes.

Racing Jam & Hang Pilot

These games are finally starting to show something. I had to force the SHARC not to execute the display list because of some weird bugs, so no 3D graphics yet.

Solar Assault & GTI Club

I was finally able to find and fix the SHARC bugs that were causing Solar Assault and GTI Club to crash. After that I went to improve the Konami 3D graphics chip emulation. Now both games are starting look quite good. Neither game is playable yet, though. Solar Assault is currenly missing the analog controls, and GTI Club still has some problems with the network chip.

Bemani Overload

Following the recent influx of Konami's System 573 games, a bunch of Firebeat dumps have surfaced. More specifically Keyboardmania, Keyboardmania 2nd mix, ParaParaDancing, Pop'n Music 7 and ParaParaParadise v1.1. Pop'n Music 7 is not working at all right now, because it has an extra sound board with a currently undumped program ROM.

Ski Champ

R. Belmont bought and dumped this Model 3 game. It's already included in 0.112u2, but I didn't have time to take a look at it until today.

More Aleck64 games

Guru dumped the remaining Nintendo 64-based games in his possession: Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, Vivid Dolls, Super Real Mahjong VS and Tower & Shaft. The Nintendo 64 emulation in MAME already works quite well, so I was able to get Star Soldier and Vivid Dolls to work with very little effort.
